The AI-on-Demand (AIoD) platform, funded by Horizon Europe, is a central hub offering trusted AI tools, datasets, and services to researchers across Europe. Its new version features an improved interface and enhanced capabilities, enabling collaboration and innovation among academia, industry, and European projects.

26 May 2025 – Artificial Intelligence is advancing rapidly across Europe, and the updated AIoD is set to accelerate this progress by providing researchers with seamless access to trustworthy, cutting-edge AI resources. Featuring a fresh, user-friendly interface, the platform now offers over 500,000 AI-related assets and a flexible environment to build, test, and deploy AI tools efficiently across diverse infrastructures.

A suite of powerful tools supports users at every stage of AI development and research. The Metadata Catalogue allows consistent and unified searching of assets across diverse sources. MyLibrary enables users to bookmark and organise resources for easy reuse and collaboration. With RAIL, researchers can create, share, and evaluate AI experiments collaboratively, helping to refine and standardize models.

To make AI accessible to all, the AI Builder simplifies complex AI tasks such as document retrieval and content summarization, without requiring coding skills. The platform’s Success Stories service connects users with experts who provide targeted support, sharing practical insights drawn from real-world applications.

The EU AI Ecosystem Mapping tool offers a comprehensive overview of key actors, facilitating networking, collaboration, and informed policy-making. For developers working in robotics, RoboCompass guides responsible innovation by identifying and overcoming non-technical barriers to robot adoption.

All tools are integrated with a secure single sign-on system, providing streamlined access and enhanced user experience.

The platform’s new version was officially launched on 20 May 2025 during the online event “AI-on-Demand: Empowering AI Research & Innovation.” For those who missed the live session, the full recording is available to watch online, offering insights into the platform’s features and its role in advancing European AI.
