AI on Demand Platform at Big Data Conference Europe 2025
The AI-on-Demand Platform was a key sponsor and contributor at Big Data Conference Europe 2025, an established event for experts in data technologies. The conference drew 700+ attendees from 35+ countries across four days of focused workshops and sessions.
The agenda covered essential technical discussions, including Data Engineering, High Load systems, Data Science, and Machine Learning. The AIoD team leveraged the conference platform to advance one of the core objectives: accelerating Europe’s AI technological ecosystem by facilitating the deployment of research findings into industrial application.
Measured Impact and Collaboration
The AIoD participation achieved a great number of leads and reinforced the platform’s collaborative and open nature. The onsite team focused efforts on driving adoption and engagement with the platform’s services, both on the research gateway as well as the newly launched industry gateway. The high engagement with participants demonstrated a clear demand from the European data community for the infrastructure and tools provided by AIoD.
Collaboration defined the platform's physical presence. AIoD worked directly onsite with three primary partners: F6S, EGI, and 28Digital. This joint action showcased the cohesive structure of the European AI ecosystem. F6S, EGI, and 28Digital operated alongside to provide information, resources, and support structures to attending professionals.
Session Focus: Making resources available
The AIoD agenda culminated in a specialized session, The AI-on-Demand platform; Making AI Resources Easy to Find, Use, and Connect for Researchers and Developers, on Friday at 11:20 EET. Ville Tenehunen (EGI) and Susanne Kuehrer (28Digital) addressed the practical steps required to operationalize AIoD resources in real-world scenarios.
The AIoD team detailed how the platform resolves common deployment challenges, with a focus on ensuring scalability, access to specialized tools, and ethical implementation. The presentation covered the strategic needs for successful AI scaling and explained how AIoD structures its services to comply with Europe’s regulatory landscape, specifically referencing the actions required under the developing AI Act.
The speakers provided the audience with guided demonstrations on how to use the platform’s metadata catalogue, AI Builder and the RAIL tool, enabling users to test projects from research labs and potentially scale them up to market. The session engaged attendees looking for validated, reliable infrastructure to build and launch AI products.
AIoD concludes its participation at Big Data Conference Europe 2025 having delivered technical information, secured new users, and confirmed the strategic alignment of its mission with the industry's critical needs.
