MUHAI book accessible
The MUHAI project - Meaning and Understanding in Human-centric AI - considered that responsible human-centric AI needs a way to deal with meaning, and tackled this foundational question by developing computational models of narrative construction.
One of the main tangible achievements is the MUHAI book; three volumes addressing different aspects of human-centric AI.
The first Muhai volume, Foundations for Meaning and Understanding in Human-centric AI retraces the existing narrative-centric studies in order to identify the most promising research streams for tomorrow’s AI. The volume is available at: https://zenodo.org/records/6666820.
Narrative-based Understanding of Everyday Activities: An AI Cookbook, the second MUHAI volume focuses on theoretical research and concrete case studies about understanding everyday activities in the real world. It can be downloaded at: https://zenodo.org/records/14199174.
Narrative-based Understanding of Society, the MUHAI third and final volume is available in open access and can be downloaded at: https://zenodo.org/records/15093258. It contains further case studies that now focus on understanding society.
