Empowering industry transformation: AI-on-Demand joined Factory 4.0 conference in Bucharest

The 6th edition of FACTORY 4.0 Conference convened on October 9th 2025 in Bucharest, bringing together over 50 expert speakers and a full day of high-impact sessions on digital transformation, AI-driven manufacturing, cybersecurity 4.0, resilient supply chains, and collaborative robotics. Under the theme of “Where digital transformation meets Industry 4.0 innovation,” the conference hosted industry leaders, technology providers, and thought-leaders who shared their insights on how to reindustrialize sustainably and future-proof manufacturing operations in Romania and beyond.

AI-on-Demand was present at the event through the collaboration with Asociatia Factory 4.0, a Romanian Digital Innovation Hub (DIH) dedicated to advancing the adoption of Industry 4.0 principles. It promotes partnerships with government bodies, SMEs, technology companies, universities, and innovation clusters at both national and European levels. This collaboration is particularly important because Digital Innovation Hubs across Europe often act as intermediaries: they support regional SMEs, research centers, startups, public authorities and other stakeholders in adopting advanced digital technologies. Through AI-on-Demand’s shared platform, DIHs like FACTORY 4.0 can enrich their local services with high-quality AI assets (datasets, models, tools), educational modules (training, ethics, trustworthy AI), and matchmaking or technical support services — without shouldering all development costs in-house. The outcome is a stronger, more cohesive European AI innovation network—one where regional DIHs amplify the reach and impact of AI-on-Demand and, in return, gain access to a rich toolbox that accelerates digital transformation for the stakeholders they serve.

The FACTORY 4.0 Conference gathered more than 300 participants, including representatives from leading companies, business associations, research institutes, and government bodies—reflecting the growing national and regional interest in smart manufacturing and digital transformation. Throughout the event, the AI-on-Demand Platform hosted an interactive networking stand, where attendees could explore its suite of tools, resources, and services to understand how the platform can support their AI adoption journey. This hands-on presence fostered meaningful exchanges between the AI-on-Demand community and industry stakeholders, strengthening connections between research, innovation, and applied industrial practice across Europe.
