The "Romanian HUB of Artificial Intelligence - HRIA" project is carried out within the Smart Growth, Digitalization and Financial Instruments Program 2021-2027 (PoCIDIF), co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), Priority 1. Supporting and promoting an attractive and competitive RDI system in Romania, A PCIDIF/484/PCIDIF_P1/OP1/RSO1.1/PCIDIF_A2 - Support for 2 projects in the field of advanced technologies and the creation of innovation and technology transfer hubs in priority areas, SMIS Code 2021- 334906.. The HRIA project is implemented by the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, as beneficiary, in partnership with six nationally representative universities: Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, West University of Timișoara, "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University of Iași, Politehnica University of Timișoara, the University of Bucharest, the "Babeș Bolyai" University of Cluj-Napoca and eight innovative SMEs, select through a competitive and transparent process. The HRIA project develops an ecosystem of excellence in Artificial Intelligence which, through the objectives and activities obtained, is unique in Romania in terms of research-development-innovation activity and results with concrete impact in the economy. HRIA allows the coagulation of the efforts of the Romanian artificial intelligence community in order to increase the impact at European and global level, becoming the catalyst of this process, creating national resources for development and innovation in the field of AI and supporting all sectors of the community.
