Hi, I attended the AIoD event organised on November 6th and, on the following day, I tried inserting some assets on the platform, with some difficulties and some doubts. I’d be happy to have your guidance and feedback on the following issues.

I inserted my organisation and I noticed that there was the possibility to enter only one value for “organisation type”. In the case of Cefriel, we are both an RTO and a SME (according to the European Commission definitions), so I had to choose only one of the two. I also noticed that the form does not ask for the PIC number, which should be an important piece of information, in case in the future you want to integrate the AIoD information with other EC sources. Finally, when I submitted the organisation, I inserted a message but I got an error that prevented the submission; when I shortened the message, the submission succeeded, so maybe you have a limit in the number of characters? It would be helpful to indicate it, if it is so.

Then, I inserted the project I am coordinating, but also there I had some issues. It was totally impossible to upload the project logo (I tried with different files, different formats, different sizes) because it kept giving a generic error message. Also here, I’d recommend to give the possibility to enter the number of Grant Agreement to facilitate future integration with CORDIS; I actually thought that it would be great to automatically import in AIoD the project’s official information from the EC… it is a waste of time and resources to duplicate information available somewhere else; by the way, in case you don’t know, there is an available knowledge graph of the projects and open API to access data at: https://cordis.europa.eu/datalab.

Finally, I’d like to learn more on the approval process and its timing. It seems to me that, if I want to add more assets (like news, success stories, publications, etc.) to my project, I need first to have the inserted project approved. I’m sure that you are all busy, but a week already passed, so I’d love to know what the expected timeline is (2 weeks? one month?), so to plan the next steps.

I’m available for any follow-up or further testing if you think it useful. Regards, Irene
